About the firm
A legal, tax and regulatory advisory firm founded in Abidjan to give companies operating in Francophone Africa counsel of international calibre — rooted in local reality.
Born in Abidjan, designed for the OHADA space
Praxis Advisory Francophone West Africa was founded by practitioners convinced that exacting counsel should be available from within the region — not imported into it.
We advise international investors, companies and institutions with local expertise, international standards and an approach oriented towards concrete results. Our partners combine careers in international firms (PwC, PKF), in industry and alongside the administrations of the zone.
Our name carries our conviction: praxis, in Aristotle's philosophy, is purposeful, transformative action. “FWA” — Francophone West Africa — recalls our home ground; our practice now extends to all 17 OHADA member states.
“Act with rigour. Build with purpose.” — Agir avec rigueur. Bâtir avec sens.
Our approach
Our approach combines the rigour of an international practice with a granular knowledge of the ground we operate on. Each engagement is built around the same discipline: understand the business first, then apply the law, the tax rules or the figures to it — never the other way round.
We are committed to our clients over the long term. That commitment starts with clear, direct communication and a genuine understanding of your objectives, and it is renewed on every matter we handle together.
We measure ourselves on the results our advice produces, not on the hours it takes to produce it — decisions made secure, deadlines kept, and outcomes a board or an investment committee can act on with confidence.
Praxis Advisory FWA is a bilingual firm by design. We work in French and in English, at the same standard, so that a Francophone subsidiary and its Anglophone parent company can be advised from a single source, in the language each side needs.
In choosing Praxis, you benefit from
- A single partner-led team across legal, tax, regulatory, risk and management questions, rather than separate advisers to coordinate yourself
- International-firm training combined with practitioners who know each administration and regulator on the ground
- A bilingual practice, equally at ease advising in French and in English on the same matter
- Direct partner access and a response within 24 hours, on every engagement regardless of size
- Fees agreed in advance and set out in an engagement letter, with no surprises at the invoice
