Tax Analyst — UEMOA Compliance & Filings
One to four years' experience in corporate taxation. Monthly filings (VAT, corporate income tax, withholding), CNPS/CGRAE social compliance, support during DGI audits.
Applications close 8 September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file, for a portfolio of client companies, the full monthly and annual tax return cycle: VAT, corporate income tax instalments, withholding taxes and payroll-related levies, against a firm-maintained compliance calendar.
- Manage CNPS and CGRAE social-contribution compliance alongside the tax calendar, reconciling declared payroll against underlying accounting records before each filing.
- Run periodic compliance reviews for clients — a structured check of filing history, documentation and exposure — and translate the findings into a prioritised, plain-language action plan for the client's finance team.
- Support the tax-audit-defence team once a DGI notice of audit is received: assembling the audit file, preparing responses to information requests and drafting elements of the reply to reassessment notices under partner supervision.
- Maintain and refine the transfer-pricing documentation of client groups (local file elements) in coordination with the group's master file, flagging inconsistencies before they become audit findings.
- Track finance-law and tax-annex changes as they are adopted each year and translate them into concrete adjustments to client filing practice and to the firm's internal compliance checklists.
- Produce the recurring reporting clients and their headquarters expect: filing confirmations, compliance dashboards and a running log of open tax positions.
Profile
- Master's degree in taxation, accounting or a closely related discipline; a professional accounting qualification in progress is an asset, not a requirement.
- One to four years' experience in corporate tax compliance, whether in practice, in an accounting firm or in-house.
- Rigour and an eye for reconciliation: the role lives in the detail between the general ledger, the payroll register and the return actually filed.
- Advanced Excel and comfort with tax-filing portals; an aptitude for building the small tools (calendars, checklists, trackers) that keep a multi-client compliance practice on schedule.
- Professional English sufficient to report to a foreign-owned client's finance department; working knowledge of UEMOA and Ivorian tax administration practice is a strong advantage.
- Composure under a DGI audit timetable: the ability to work precisely and quickly when a response deadline is measured in days.
- A collaborative approach — this role sits at the interface between the client's own finance team and the firm's tax-litigation partners.
